Child Wise combines direct support, advocacy, community education, research, program implementation and training, to provide an innovative, highly specialised and enduring service that incorporates prevention, protection and recovery response to communities in Australia and overseas.

Child Wise prevents child sexual abuse and exploitation by addressing the underlying causes through the promotion of children's rights, early intervention, awareness raising and by equipping individuals, organisations, governments and communities to create safe environments for children. Child Wise works to address new and emerging trends in abuse and exploitation.

It protects children from sexual abuse and exploitation by providing help, support, advice and resources to individuals, communities and organisations impacted by child sexual abuse. The organization is an advocate for law reform and works to improve child protection systems, it promotes the understanding of why and how abuse occurs and it motivates children and communities to report abuse and abusers. Child Wise provides counselling and educational tools to protect children and communities.

Child Wise helps individuals and communities recover from child sexual abuse and exploitation by providing direct support, advice and resources to those impacted by child sexual abuse. It also builds capacity, resilience and support networks through trauma counselling training.

Child Wise is the Australian representative of ECPAT International, a global network operating in 77 countries to prevent sexual exploitation of children.. Since its inception, Child Wise has achieved many important successes.
